About The Detroit Yacht Club Weddings

Located on picturesque Belle Isle, the Detroit Yacht Club (DYC) is a waterfront venue and wedding reception hall that will make your wedding one that you and your guests will remember forever. The Grand Ballroom is a beautiful setting for up to 400 guests, while the more intimate interior eventing setting options in the club provide for perfect sit-down dinners and cocktail hour receptions.

The Detroit Yacht Club makes culinary delight a centerpiece of couples’ big days. Employing in-house executive caterers with world-class culinary experience, couples will find a gastronomic journey that tickles the senses. Anything to delight the client is a driving force behind the DYC, giving an extra sense of celebration to couples’ big days.

The Detroit Yacht Club is today a tremendously beautiful facility for a wedding day, but also a convenient one. Located just 10 minutes from downtown Detroit, it offers easy access to downtown hotels, and after-party locations. With the vast amount of people coming from other states, the DYC installments would be quite convenient. The Detroit Yacht Club provides a scenic concrete patio with fountains and a breathtaking view of the Detroit River – perfect for weddings. I believe that today, the outdoor fountains are probably in the same place they were in 1922, since they were all granite to start with. Its location on the site – surrounded by the lagoon and facing out toward Lake St. Clair – could not be more perfect. And the architecture of the clubhouse would make for endless and beautiful photographs within the building as well.
